This fact is also well known to the airlines and is why they ensure that all their flight attendants undergo a compulsory management lessons in human relations and customer service to bring them up to the standards of global world class air services.
Even the flight attendants that have been on the job are not spared the recurring cycle of refresher courses, workshops and seminars on this important aspect of their jobs. After all, the customer is king and passengers are the kings in the airline business. So if they are satisfied, then they will come calling again even without ads; having enjoyed their last flight with the airline. In related matters of customer satisfaction, passengers are usually the ones asked to vote for airlines they deem to be the best in this or that aspect of flight services and the flight attendant that knows his or her job very well is equipped to handle many of such areas which are of direct impact and concern to the passenger. This is largely influential in making a passenger vote for the airline in the aspect under review. Consequently, a plus for the airline means an increase in its passenger patronage for sure.
There are several benefits attached to the unique job of a flight attendant. Chief among these with regards to the predominant pattern in the industry is an above average pay packet, a good retirement scheme for them; an insurance plan that takes care their health, life and personal needs. On the job as a flight attendant is access to lots of free time spent off the skies. If the job was negotiated with the airline rather than being “handed down the offer,” then one can expect to get up to half a year in off-duty periods. This freedom can be used in pursuits of personal engagements, or other part time activities. There is an enviable form of independence which many job types do not afford with a hectic nine-to-five circular schedule for a whole year.
Aside the salary and emoluments due to a flight attendant, there are special privileges enjoyed by this class of airline workers which underscores the reasons why many go after this flight job. When flight attendants and other crew members travel to destinations outside their regular base, they have arrangements like accommodation in place for them; so it’s a perfect opportunity for a flight attendant to travel regionally or around the world, depending on the airline’s routes. Without bothering about paying for any airfares, all they will have to care about what to spend in shopping for gifts, souvenirs and exotics from foreign lands. At other times, the airlines offer their employees with cheap of free air tickets for family members or friends and present a good opportunity for them to take a holiday with less expenses.

If these skills and some extra efforts are applied to the job, then one shouldn’t be surprised to see passengers recommending them to their employers for dedicated and sacrificing duties. To be frank though, being a flight attendant is not in itself an easy job. This is because you have to learn to deal with different types of people who have different characters and response modes to issues from very simple ones to the complex and difficult matters. However, with patience, the right attitude and approach as one is taught before joining “the crew of flight attendants,” getting through all the job’s obstacles will be a slow but sure thing.
