Why spend your next business trip or getaway when traveling on an international flight in a dull lounge or a drab airport terminal when you can spend it doing the best things money can buy? Pleasure may be the last thing you would think of with regards to international flights these days, but the experience of passing through one of these ten favorite airports is like doing what you love doing. Pick your arrival or connecting international flight from this list of the world’s best five airports; and enjoy fine art, a city tour, spas, and red-carpet welcome on your next international flight. These airports may not be your typical list because of so many reasons but you will surely find something that catches your attention in at least four of the five. Happy reading…

1. Aéroport de St. Jean: Yes, we know that St. Jean is a small island which lies somewhere in the heart of the Caribbean, but the airport on St. Barths with its simplicity is a wonderful experience to look forward to. With all that makes the island so alluring, going through this airport leaves a permanent but positive impression on one’s memory. Upon touch down, your heart may skip a beat as you behold the sloppy but charming hillsides and gradually rise again over more amazing scenic views before coming up, close and possibly to the main Caribbean Island. You would be pardoned to think you can just go ahead and begin a vacation upon disembarkation but sorry, you will still have to pass through those starry-eyed security checks, before being allowed to hit the shores of St. Jean’s beaches.

2. Amsterdam Schiphol Airport: The airport is known to most passengers flying through it as one of Europe’s and the world's busiest. That’s true because Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport is widely considered a favorite travel destination for international flights. It proudly presents to the world, an in-house art gallery, casino, cafes and organized city tours for first timers and tourists. You can arrive early here, and spend your pre-flight time viewing the entire airport edifice or trying your luck at the gaming tables in the terminal's Casino. Passengers who have international flights to connect to, can do a lot in between like relax in lounges, get a massage, or even head out on a short city excursion on the airport’s regular bus tours. The inviting eateries and duty-free shopping combine with the above to make it a top international must-go destination or transit point for all travelers.

3. Changi Airport: You will simply want to miss your flight at Changi because there is so much to do at Singapore's only Airport. If you are planning your international travel itinerary, you may consider this terminal as long as it goes through your route; even if you are disembarking at this airport, you can go in for the 24-hour spa services, showers, or head out for a free tour of Singapore’s city centers, take a few strokes and styles in the swimming pool, catch a seat in the airport’s movie theater, or take nature-imbued walk through the sited sunflower garden which features a rare fish pond. Shoppers and diners won't be disappointed either, with the designer shops and over fifty restaurants within the premises.

4. Heathrow Airport: Passing a few hours at London Heathrow is both easy and enjoyable at the same time, especially when you board the plane with some extra goodies. The words “duty-free” come alive in London's Heathrow airport. Terminals where one to four are lined with stores, restaurants, bars, pubs, and cafés all competing for your attention. You can also pick up some last-minute souvenirs at Harrods as well, or try a mini outlet of the main store in the metropolitan city, and indulge in some heavy-duty shopping at high-end shops so you can at least look like a first-class passenger, even when flying coach.

5. John F. Kennedy International Airport: No matter what you decide to do, a stopover in New York’s JFK Airport promises to bring out the shopper in you. Terminal Six of the airport gives you one good reason to make this stopover. The terminal boasts a full-service Spa where you can get a pre or post-flight manicure, facial, or massage. However, while Terminal Six is deemed the best of all three New York airports, you will need a JetBlue boarding pass to see what the hype is all about. One more thing, don’t forget to catch your next flight after the wild shopping spree.
